As a Canadian prairie kid growing up in the 70's where we lived, ate and breathed hockey, Borje Salming was cool...much respect for that fine hockey player.

He had what my Dad called "grit". I still get a kick out of that 72 series against CCCP and the comments made by one player about the missing beer that pissed off the Canadian players and how it made an impact on the outcome of the series. lol Originally Posted by mapleleafalumnus
