    I thought it was anticlimactic.

    Huh?
He went higher than anyone has ever done in a balloon, then jumped out, flew at 700+ mph and walked away from it without serious injury.
A success in every sense of the word in my book.
    Very exciting stuff imo.

I have to admit I was transfixed on him once he stood on the platform. When he was free falling in the thin atmosphere and appeared to be spinning end over end I was worried but he soon hit the thicker atmosphere and assumed a correct free fall position and all was good from there. Quite a feat. Neat that the only fellow who came close all those years ago was part of the mission control team. Kudos to Felix and the team.

I missed it live, but will find it on the internet. An incredible feat but still not topped IMO by what happened on this date in 1947. Chuck Yeager once again broke the sound barrier in the back of a F-15 today.

$11 so far. That might keep me in smokes for a day.

Other than the length of the free fall the jump didn't look much if any different than from a Cessna. Granted he set some records but a boring 5 minutes to watch.
