Man - that's cool - thanks for the post!

But I can't watch it - the globe in the background rotating with the ... well I am getting vertigo watching!

It's gonna take about 2 hours to get to the target altitude. Check back in a bit.

Remember that old TV show "Thrill Seekers" ? I don't remember anyone doing anything quite so death defying or elaborate but there are some folks wired to where they get supreme satisfaction out of putting it all on the line. I wish him luck.

    Thanks for the link Wullie!

I was talking to my folks about this earlier and Mom's reponse to the attempt to break the sound barrier was "Well, he's gonna break something..." Optimism radiating down the phone lines from Manitoba!

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Sadly the Canadian version of Discovery has deemed it more important to show some crappy reality show that appears to consist of a guy fishing for sailfish in the Keys while riding what amounts to an innertube on a sheet of plywood.
