Nothing wrong with shooting a few racks. We had a table in our residence while I was in university and it was almost impossible to tear me away from it. I really miss it, especially since it won me quite a few pizzas from a guy who kept betting against me but couldn't back his money with his play

I love 8 ball! I used to be much better at it, unfortunately, as I took it as an elective when I was in college, twice! Bwaahaha! CS:Source is also a big hobby of mine, or was until I had to leave my dear desktop at home and gave up my X1900 XTX for a radeon 9600 mobility *sob*

Thanked: 369Even geekier, I've been a magician hobbiest since I was small enough to fit in a top hat. Also a magician member of the Academy of Magical Arts - Magic Castle in Los Angeles.

I'm a pretty hardcore gamer. Cards, Boards, RPG, Computer, Video and LARP and even Dice. As long as it's a good game. My top 10 games list would be.
Cards, Boards, RPG, Computer, Video and LARP and even Dice. As long as it's a good game.
Like Chess and Pool a lot, mostly 8 ball & doubles, but 9 ball is a great game.
Cribbage, but Euchre if there's four.
Scrabble is fantastic
Poker was a great game until everybody forgot how to play it properly.
Board Games
Diplomacy (any of them) the more the merrier, but all 'weapons' out of the house!
Civilisation, but the Advanced Civilisation expansion version for larger groups
Republic of Rome and Settlers of Catan are great too.
Video
I'm old school, majored in first person shooters, but love driving games. One of my favourites was Twisted Metal because it gave me both in one game. Drive fast AND blow things up.
Computer
Doom II will always hold a special place in my heart (along with Choplifter *sigh*), but I like battle strategy like Myth and urban planning like SIM City.
My favourite RPG is Call of Cthulu. It's basically set in a time between the first two world wars when ancient extra-terrestial demons are awaking in the depths of the earth. It's a B horror movie. The funest feature of the game is the constant Sanity Check one has to make before their character finally becomes insane.
I prefer GURPS to all other Roll Playing Systems.
There's lots of great party games these days. Balderdash let's you practise BS-ing your friends and having them try and BS you, Cranium is a great time, Scattergories is cool too. It let's the whole room work together against the clock!
There's a bunch of card games springing up everywhere. You might remember they appeared with Magic and Pokemon? Well there's Munchkin, Chez Geek and Apple to Apples which is great fun for everybody. Whoever matches nouns and adjectives best wins! Tribes is a Great game too.
Two games I hate are Supremacy (because the only time I played it it ended in Global Thermonuclear War!) and cheating rules Illuminati for the paranoia (even though I won ).
How many's that?

When my ankle is totally repaired I'll be back to golf. A good fat mans game does not involve running or jumping.

Halo 2 is a really fun game. I've got it and played it for hours. Every now and then me and some friends get together with xboxes and play if for 4 hours straight together. Fun game and very addictive.

I'm a taxidermist as a profession but it also is a hobby too. Wildlife, hunting, fishing or just being in the woods! I'm a rudimental drummer and do tons of war of 1812 re-enactments. And of course I love anything War between the States, mainly confederate related.
