The New Republic of Texas?
Now, I just got an idea! Remember from Texas v White that our union is perpetual and we can't leave? There is an exception: all the states have to vote you off the island, so to speak.
So if you really want out, just send out "ambassadors" to each state and really start pissing people off in the name of Texas. After a while I'm sure you could muster up some votes to free yourselves!

I don't remember Texas ever asking for anyone's permission. They usually take what they want.
