    Default Anything but a cartridge shaver......curious ?

So I have been here at SRP now something like 2 yrs. I think....and looking back I now wonder. We have folks here shaving with straight razors, double edge and feather shavers....anything but a modern Frankenrazor. I wonder how much of a cramp we are putting in the modern industry. I hear more and more outside of the forum about guys making the switch to oldschool wetshaving. This goes as well for the use of brushes, soaps and aftershaves. Good for us ! Share your thought gentleman.

I don't know, but I would like to ask that of a Dovo or T&I company man. I know that a lot of vintage razors are leaving the dusty shelves & shaving again. That in its self makes me happy.

    LOL,
no that is a photo of my son age 5, he's now 15.
I chose that photo, because it's hard to get pi**ed at a face like that, at first glance.

I think we are just a niche market and are no more than a slight speed bump to the makers of cartridge razors. It is a healthy niche though supporting businesses which employ people and that is good.

I tried really hard once to try and figure out what kind of threat us wet shavers are to co's like Gillette. I mean why would they buy AOS if it wasn't something they are concerned about right? Well no... not really.

Anyway - with the very limited - and I mean VERY limited amount of information I could muster up - I am guessing that we are less than 1% of the male shaving population - in America anyway.

Try this - it's fun. If you have a facebook page - ask all your male friends if they wet shave. I bet if you have 150 male friends - only one might - and they might do it with a cart lol.

I really hope someone has concrete evidence - I would love to know.
No Facebook, but if anyone else care to pursue that..we wanna know.
