Glad all went well. I had one of those nerve block thingys once for some stuff they repaired in my hand. Blocked from the elbow down. I know how you felt when things woke up. Hopefully it will get better quickly.

Re: Positive Waves (Best Wishes) for DonV!
Glad to hear you are on the road to recovery. I also had major ankle/leg surgery with nerve block, I really wasn't impressed with how the nerve block is administered or the pain without it
One upside is no matter how bad you hurt yourself from now on, it will be nothing in comparison.
Eric.

Hello All!
Thanks again for your words of encouragement and well wishes! Just thought I'd chime in and let you know, one week later and I saw the doctor today. Got the temp cast off and staples out. Every thing looks great! I'm going to attach a picture of what you helped me through. It may look bad to you, but it looks totally awesome to me! Trust me, unfortunately, I know what bad looks like, this is better than I expected. Nice and straight, no swelling, nothing icky, perfect job. We figure fives with my pretty purple cast, no weight on it for five weeks and I'll go from there.
After it heals up, I propose we come up with a contest for a fitting tattoo to go along with it. I've been kicking around, construction zone above it, ya really need to see the messed up side, and on the long straight one pictured, maybe boot laces going up it? I don't know, long time till it's ready for that.
Thanks again, Don Vieira

Wow man. I've had knee surgery, but nothing that major. I'm glad you're on the downward slope of it!

That's one cool looking scar, I agree with the Tatt idea though. I hope you are keeping your chin up!
