Jeans
Look I know this might not be the coolest topic, but considering I bet a large majority of us wear them daily...
Gents - I have been a Levi's guy for years. Then they started to blow it a while back when i was younger and better looking and got expensive when I was at my poorest. Recently I gave them a shot again and bought a couple pairs, and I got to tell you - JUNK. I'll never buy Levi's again.
Seriously the seams that are meant to go down the side of the pants, go down the front. And they are already fraying! They are less than 6 months old - JUNK!
What do you guys wear? How much are they? And do they come in 36 x 36?! btw - When did a 36 inseam become big and tall?
Anyone got those 25oz $500 jeans? - Indigo Five Pocket Jeans : Iron Heart
I don't think I could ever bring myself to paying 5 bills for a pair of jeans, but I might just have to start thinking selling my Glock for a reliable pair of jeans the way I am going through them!Last edited by earcutter; 12-04-2012 at 04:51 AM.

haha , my x wife has a 30 somethin inseam and only thing in her size is Buckle Jeans , i think on sale might be $100 but she had no hobbies so i used to drop that on them for her and not complain when she did ...lol.. me on the other hand go through bout 7-8 pair a summer at work so i go with the wall-mart " wranglers or faded glorys " at 10-15$ .... i have to admit i had a girl friend one time who bought me some lucky jeans just over $100 and they lasted and were super comfortable but i couldnt spent that !! so i hit kohls stores at end of summer/winter and grab off the 60-80% off racks and never spend over $10 , or ive scored 3 pair of lucky jeans at a yard sale with tags for $3.00 a pair ...lol

I have a recent pair of Levi's that I wear a lot, and they are holding up well; no issues to speak of. I have another pair that I don't wear as much, so that won't help much.
Normally, I wear Carhartts, but the Levi's were a gift from my dad.

Thanked: 1195Jeans have been part of my standard uniform (lol) since before high school. I used to be loyal to Levi's too, but I have to agree they got expensive and their durability went downhill. I still have a couple pairs, but you realize in adulthood that no one gives a @&%* what brand you wear so neither have I for many years.

Thanked: 884WRANGLER 13MWZ's. Wrinkling bastards that they are, I've been wearing them for 40 years. It's a pain, but if you have 'em starched with a fore and aft crease a few times they don't wrinkle so bad later on in their life.
Wife bought me a pair of pre-washed that are just about like the old 13MWZ's that have been worn a while and cost twice as much.
Didn't see any 13MWZ's for sale at wally-whirled the other day when I was looking at sale stuff. Academy usually puts 'em on sale right after Christmas and I usually buy a couple of pair for around 20 each.
You'll either like'em or you'll hate 'em. LOL
IF you do buy a pair and don't want to go to the trouble of sending 'em out for starch, wash 'em inside out and dry 'em that way. Pull 'em from the dryer a bit damp, turn 'em right side out and fold 'em over a hanger with the crease like a pair of slacks. Other wise they look like sailor pants.Member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club, participant SE Asia War Games 1972-1973. The oath I swore has no statute of limitation.

Thanked: 3227I fall into the category of not giving a damn about what brand I or anyone else wears so I buy Wally World George brand jeans at 8 bucks a pair. When I was working I wore them to work in the pulp mill after they got too tatty for home. They wear about as well as most others and if they don't for the price I don't really care.

Thanked: 485Generally I wear suit trousers for work, and on weekends it's either jeans or board shorts (in summer) around the house it's track suit pants. I can't imagine WHAT I'd wear on weekends if not jeans, and it's pretty much always Levis even though their ridiculously expensive in comparison to some. I'm a bit of a brand snob.
