I had prk done a few years ago (couldn't do lasik because of airborne) and it has been just awesome. I think it is totally worth any if the risks. When we get new guys in our unit that wear glasses the first thing i tell them is that the eye surgery is free.
I also had PRK done about two years ago and couldn't have been happier with the results (free helps too being military). My eyes were horrible, I was 20/150 in one eye and 20/200 in the other prior to the surgery. By the time my eyes healed after the surgery, I now have 20/15 in one eye and 20/12 in the other. Better than I ever had with glasses or contacts.
