Thanked: 4942Any Bow Hunters In Here
Just got a new PSE Compound Bow from Cabela's with sight, quiver, etc. Single Cam. Used to shoot a recurve, but this is way cooler. Need to learn about arrows etc. Who can tell me what......hahahaha.
Love new toys.

Aww, man! Can't hunt crossbow in WA, otherwise I'd ask a friend of mine who is an avid bow hunter. He hunts with a compound, though.
Sounds like a hell of a fun toy

Yeah, here's a shock - you can't use them in Jersey, either. Unless you happen to be handicapped, in which case I think you can use one. But I don't know anyone who does off hand.

Thanked: 1Lynn,
I'm an avid bowhunter. I use a compound bow. What do you need to know specifically?
I know the crossbow "arrows" are called bolts. There seems to be 2 styles of knocks to choose from, a flat and a halfmoon.
I'll be of as much help as I can be. I used to do a part time stint in an archery shop, but only worked on crossbows once or twice.

Ugh, I hate to slander someone else's state, but I'm deployed with a bunch of Jerseyites right now who drill out of Philadelphia, and the lengths they have to go to just to get ANY gun, let alone a handgun, are obscene. Thank god I live in a shall-issue CCW state where all you need to get a gun is a driver's license and a week's worth of patience.
