I have one of their buffers and it serves me well. I also have a mini anvil that I do all my pinning on, and a set of files and a peening hammer. None of it's world class, but it does what it's supposed to and was super cheap. And, as noted, their exchange policy is fantastic.

    Still a funny ad, though.

    Funny looking buffer.

Looks like a belt sander to me.

That's what you get for NOT buying from Hazard Fraught Tool Company. OF course you might have ended up a gauge of some kind or an 8 oz solid brass carpenter's Driedel.

I work in a machine shop that employs 54 machinists; I doubt you'd find a toolbox there that doesn't have something from Harbor Freight in it.

It's funny, and the way the advertise and some of the crummy customer service I've seen is home-grown! At the same time, they've got some decent products - IF you know what you're doing! I've got some of their motorcycle stands and pretty awesome floor jack from them. I've had offers on that floor jack!

You know it's one thing when you get that fat line of credit that gets you a Snap-On box and tools that puts you in debt up to your eyeballs for two years when you graduate from UTI, but for somebody that just needs to be able to turn a wrench and fill their toolbox and build their experience from scratch or maybe they just need a cheap engine hoist and a hydraulic press that will work well enough for awhile to take some of the big engine jobs on, it's a good thing that they fill that market niche.
