Thanked: 47Sturmgewehr 44
A lady in Connecticut tried to trade in a Sturmgewehr 44 machine gun for a gift card to Walmart at a police gun buy-back. The gun is worth between $20,000 to $25,000. Luckily the officers informed her of the rare gun she possessed.

Thanked: 47Apparently they did, I guess the two officers knew exactly what it was and informed her before they started the process to take the gun.

Thanked: 884I doubt she'll see a penny from it. I suspect some fine upstanding representative of the BATF will be at that police station shortly and gather that rifle up for destruction as it is most likely an unpapered Class III device. Then it will mysteriously disappear from the destruction bucket and end up in some well placed within the BATF anal sphincter's "private stash".
I do applaud the two officers for doing the right thing.Member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club, participant SE Asia War Games 1972-1973. The oath I swore has no statute of limitation.
