I can interpret that statement in so many ways...

I buy breakfast at work most days and have been saving the change for a year in my locker with the thought that I would buy my wife's present with that. I should turn it in and see what I have! I bought her a pair of windshield wiper blades last week. Dang, I should have waited.

Thanks for the idea of a lamb. Her latest fun has been felting mittens. I wonder how much wool I can buy for around $100?

I hate shopping for gifts for my wife!

One year I bought her a garage door opener... something she uses every day! Bah, whatever.

Another year I bought her a Benchmade knife, loosened the hinges a bit and taught her how to flick it open... she never uses it! But Loves It!

    Hence the shoes...

Two pieces of furniture (actually, we were going to get them already, so if I can count those, good...), an ipod touch and some soap from martin de candre (she doesn't know about the soap).

She never tells me what she wants, but she generally doesn't like what I get her. The next year she says the same thing, though "surprise me".

    Right! I hate that.

I think the trick with my wife is to buy her something that is not practical at all! When my wife was learning to fly I bought her a console to practice with on her computer - bah, whatever.

Then I got her a class that saw her take out a open wheel race car for a couple of laps - loved it!

well not my wife anymore but we have a great relationship .... so in years past we dropped all our $ on the kids and never really bought for each other .. well she has never bought anything nice for herself other then $100 jeans cause they really are the only ones that fit ( so she says ) so she has always wanted a Coach purse ... well she bought it then showed it to me and cried cause she spent sso much on herself and should of bought other things for the house ect .. so she said she was gonna take it back , i offered to pay for it and it would be a gift to my mother and gave me the cost of half to go towards it ... well i really bought it for her , went and bought the matching wallet ( for the kids to give her ) , and put her $ in the wallet ... so she should be surprised !!

My wife told me flat out all she wants is a Keurig Machine, and that's it.

P.S. the goalie is on strike and the net is wide open!!
