My thoughts are with the families who have lost their babies in this senseless incident.

Very very sad; it's bad enough to hear of this with adults in a crowded area, but with such young children it's completely surreal.
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

My wife and I decided to pick up the kids a bit early today, and maybe just be a bit more thankful today than normal.

Seems like we weren't the only ones. All the parents were coming early.

My kids had McDonald's for dinner today! Every now and again hey!

If the agony bags playing Amazing Grace doesn't bring tears to your eyes nothing will. Very appropriate on this immensely sad occasion.

Closer to home for you all than us down here.
Thoughts, prayers and condolences to all involved in this and other tragedies - especially at this time of year.
Not sure what your news covers but from here I see similar incomprehensible behaviour is happening in other places too....

Don't do anything you wouldn't want to explain to the paramedics!

All we can do is hold our loved ones closer, and make every moment count.
I can't even imagine if that were my children, what a waste of life.
