So what is wrong with that statement when it comes to gun control laws ???

Both guns were legally purchased by his mother. He stole them to do this disgusting deed. CT has some very strict gun control as is. The mall shooter the other day stole the AR and the magazines he used. Isn't stealing against the law?.......Nothing is mentioned about the other school shooting a few weeks ago....Oh wait that wacko used a crossbow and not a gun. Killed his dad, hid dad's girlfriend and himself with a knife and crossbow. Funny how we haven't heard any more about this dontcha think? It doesn't fit the agenda.

As far as I'm concerned if you remove firearms from civilian homes, related crime will drastically fall. The world over thirds has been shown. Introducing new regulations that can't be enforced won't work. Only criminalizing firearm ownership works. People say,"well yeah, but pot is illegal and people still get that" or whatever drug. Drugs are different, they can't be found with radiation scanners.

The thing with this point is that people who own guns believe they help in defending themselves, when the majority of people who brandish Any weapon actually usually come to harm by their own weapon. Over 50%.

No amount of evidence will prove this to those who own/advocate guns. That was made clear during the last debate of this matter. I know there is evidence both ways BUT non violence is the best way imo.

I think there is a serious philosophical problem with the thinking in a lot of individuals who commit violent crime. This is not to offend, I also think this thinking is prevalent in America's in general. There is a belief that it's ok to take a life to protect yourself. I disagree and that's my opinion, people will disagree, and I say you are entitled to. If this way of thinking was changed I believe these horrific incidents would reduce in their frequency.

Guns are illegal in Mexico, yet they have the highest murder rate by firearm on this continent.

How does disarming innocents prevent the bad guys from having guns?

If people would be responsible for their own safety, crime would drop.

I carry a gun daily because a cop is too heavy and hard to conceal. ;)

The reason that most states, in the USA, allow licensed concealed carry, and most reciprocal from state to state, is because the armed citizen is a strong prohibitive influence against crime.

Had those teachers been armed, and proficient with their weapons, there would have been a different story this morning.
