Thanked: 9NYE party
I am supposed to go to a party tonight with some European boxing champs (ex / have beens) and I will probably only know a few guys and girls. Knowing Bulgarian parties, I just really hope there is no fighting, or at least that I get to stay out of it
my wife doesn't know about my hand situation (I don't want to worry her on her getaway vacation) and was amazed when I told her I'm not extremely enthusiastic about going there. She said she thought I always enjoy these parties so much... but otherwise I have to stay home by myself, as all other friends are with their families and I would not be comfortable there too.
poor me
Cheers

I'm hitting some preppy place that will also require wearing dress pants, dress shirt and a tie
I prefer informal and friendly but this was the only available option in the end.

Just keep smiling, Ivo. It's hard to get ina fight if you keep smiling.
I'm out for dinner and drinks with the family tonight. House parties are always best anyhow.

Thanked: 9Ilija - I hope it works out for you and you have lots of fun!
X - you never heard "What you smiling at?" - pretty standard way to start a fight
I just remembered - my CEO's wife is having a grand party and I was invited "Semi-formal" - but I don't think I'll be comfy there too. I would have stopped by with my wife for a while if she were here...
Anyway, I hope you guys have great time!
Cheers

Ivo, I'd tag along with you, but it's a bit too late to drive to Florida, assuming my little Mazda would make it that far. Then we could have a drinking contest and the answer to the question would be "I'm smiling at that empty case of tequila"
