Our evening was more docile.. Started with a few drinks at my friend's place before we hit the club. The company was great and the only complaint I had was with the drinks, which were watered down. There was some sort of a fight (like 6-7 people involved) that broke out in front of us but other than watching to make sure it didn't spill over in our direction I didn't participate. We left fairly early (just before the last call) and even then getting a cab was impossible in addition to us getting gouged ($50 for a $15 ride). Needless to say I refused to bend over and got a cab for $20 lol. I also got another person interested in going snowboarding (assuming we get some snow over here ).

Thanked: 9Happy New Year, Ilija!
Weren't you at a formal party (you said dress pants, tie, etc.)? How does a fight with 6 -7 guys start there?
Cheers
Ivo

I'm sure that somewhere inside the dress shirt, pants, and tie, were a pair of fists Alcohol does wonders towards getting them to come out.

Ivo, for starters let me ask is "banitsa" made with Fillo pastry cheese and eggs? That's what Serbian gibanica is made with. As for the party. Well it was in a club and there were lots of 19-22yrolds who went there to pretend they were older but still haven't learned how to act. Amusing, I guess lol

When I get married, my wife is going to get sent to my aunt for training and won't be allowed to leave until she learns to properly make gibanica, sarma and Russian salad

Just wait. She's thinking, "when I get married, my daddy's going to teach my husband to take out the trash, mow the yard, fix the sink, trim the hedges, mulch the flowerbeds, clean the gutters, de-moss the roof, ......"
Better make sure you get a little more out of your aunt's training time!
