    Are those grips Kingwood?

Nice piece. I'm not really cool enough, or gun enough to say that, but whatever. Nice piece.

Really nice looking gun! The grips are gorgeous. Though I have to nitpick and guess (and I may be wrong) that it's actually your wife's initials that are on the grips. Unless, of course, your wife's name really is CAC. Hehehe.

You mentioned racking a slide, my wife (who refuses to shoot, boo) has a hard time racking the slide on my pistol, a Glock 30. Despite her non-shooting ways, she does clean my guns for me while I am away -- what a woman -- and I found the israeli technique of grasping the slide and pushing on the lower receiver of the gun itself made it much easier for her to draw back the slide to take it apart.

Just out of curiosity, what would make a revolver more suitable as backup for a lefty than an autoloader? The magazine catch?

Yes CAC are her initials. I like a revolver as a backup because it eliminates most possibilities of malfunction, and I believe that if I need a backup its probably because of a jam or malfunction of my main weapon which is a pistol.

Ahh, fair enough. The way you worded that made me think there was some aspect of a revolver which was more friendly to lefties than an autoloader.

Say, speaking of +P's, I have two older J-Frames, and I have never put +P's through the air-weight one. Naturally, I prefer the lighter model, and am wondering if anyone has put a significant number of +P loads through one. Thanks.

The airweights are tough guns, I wouldnt hesitate to shoot +p through them. I shoot heavy corbon loads through mt 357 magnum airweight on a regular basis with no problems. Some 38sp don't tolerate +p well, but not many of the new ones have this problem.
