Freshman Economics class. Opinions wanted;
Should I take Macro or Micro first? Need both, but is there a preferred order for them?
< FWIW, I come from hard science background, which means I can tell you NOT to take P-chem before Gen-chem. Complete fish out of water with....these classes. >
Any advice?
Thanks in advance

Take micro first, I honestly only went to the midterms and final for macro and still passed. A lot of it carries over.

As a rule... wait! There are no rules. It's interesting that your school allows you to take either first. Many institutions force you to take the one, and then the other.
Micro might be a better way to start in my opinion if for no other reason than as the name imply's, the topics/examples may be more easy to relate to. Macro and micro all bleed into one another so it's kind of a non-starter for me.
Just remember that in econ there are positive and normative statements (Economics Interactive). If you get caught up in the normative side of your brain, you'll have a really rough two semesters. Economics is the study of why people do things, NOT what they should do... That comes later - have fun! I love econ!David
