Thread: USPS cuts Saturday delivery as of 08/13

Was announced today, that the USPS will stop saturday delivery starting in August, 2013 but they will still deliver your precious packages on saturday.

And no more DC on Priority shipping. And didn't stamps just go up?

Sure did, i get the feeling this is only the beginning they been in the red for so long. And now its urgency!

I shipped a package to Canada last week 19 bux,the same exact package last month was 10.50.

I don't blame them. There's no sense in them working 6 days a week anyhow. They oughta cut weekends entirely. Then again, I don't run a business that's dependent on Saturday package deliveries to stay competitive. I guess there's probably some businesses that'll be upset. I think the rest of us can deal.

I suspect Congress will have something to say about this.

Don't feel bad. TMK Canada Post has never delivered on weekends. In fact, I'm not sure what they do the rest of the week either....

I honestly don't mind this change. But I still wish they would privatize the postal service! But that is another thread entirely.

Pretty sure it's not delivering parcels!

It's would be fine with me if they only delivered on Saturday

The best thing they could do would be to quit delivering junk mail which is 95% of the mail I get in my mail box.

I do like their package delivery speed and pricing.
