Honestly, is this really necessary?

I don't know how much experience the SRP population has had with other internet forums, but closing a thread (for me, at least) means next to nothing. Everyone is acting like it's the beginning of the end or something. Total nonsense!

If I were a moderator, I'd be quick to close this thread. Why? Well, because it's not a discussable topic, for one thing. If you want to add to the gossip, why not post in one of the other threads that are currently devoted to it?

It's as though no one's seen an argument before. I take "Off Topic" to mean anything that's not straight razor-related. Now, thanks to one insignificant thread, we've got people trying to suggest that no one talk about hot-button issues like gun control, religion and politics; and now here you are, saying that if I'm angered by something, I shouldn't post?
