Cruise anyone?
Although I make jokes, I cannot fathom the horror these folks endured. Shame on Carnival.....I've been cold, wet and hungry. Raw sewerage.......ughhhh

Agreed. I have heard many stories of food poisoning and other issus on these cruises. The owners of some ships are foriegn entities and, combined with international waters/laws, are not necessarily required to do things as the passengers expect. Once you are on board that thing, you are at their mercy. Hell, I don't think you can even sue them? I expect you sign your life away before boarding! I always have said I would not go, even if the cruise was free! What a nightmare!
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

I have never wanted to go on a cruise - I'm just not a cruise ship kind of guy. I think it's the conspicuous consumption on such a massive scale that has always put me off. That, and when I travel I want to experience other peoples, cultures, and ideas. I don't think one gets that on a 3-hour-long, organized excursion during a port call.
But now I *really* have no desire to go on a cruise.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

That Cruise Line doesn't have a stellar reputation. people need to do a little investigation before they put their lives in someone else's hands.

I also have never had a desire to go on a cruise; I'm thankful that I have a spouse that shares my view on that subject.

Those big ships are horrible even when everything is working. Small ship cruising (with maybe 60 guests) is a totally different and vastly more enjoyable experience. Small ships go places big ships can't, and since they're not running onboard casinos and shopping malls, the game plan is to take you interesting places where you spend the day ashore.

I was on an extended cruise once, traveled all over, the food was great, so much to do you never had a moment to yourself and I never even needed a passport.

Although its been a while, I've been on three cruises and thought they were great. I could care less about ports of call and getting of on some of the places they dock. You've seen one crappy t-shirt, you've seen them all. My ideal cruise would be one that goes out into the middle of the ocean somewhere for several days and sits there, then returns. And it's not sitting there because it's stranded.

Thanked: 47Seems like trouble with cruises are happening more frequently, maybe we are just hearing about it more. I have no desire to go on a cruise especially after the problems they have been encountering.
