I've been thinking about it. I would need lots of guns though, I think. I think I need 4 guns to get started but I'm having a hard time comprehending how any sport that requires 4 guns to get started in could possibly survive. Between that, and dressing up, it's a no-go for me. I've been competing in IPSC for years. I won't even wear a baseball cap when I shoot.

well in its defense it is multinational and it has millions of members throughout the country but I can understand your point with four guns. to be honest I was very hesitant about dressing up myself because that's just not me but it happens to be a lot of fun when you actually do it!

Thanked: 369It's not a cheap sport by any means. And it can get more expensiver as you get more involved. Talk about acquisition disorders!
And, the first shoot I went to, I felt as though I was on the set of a big cowboy/ western movie with all the authentic old west garb, buildings, guns, and ceegars. Actually pretty cool if your into that stuff.

It seems I have a friend who does it. He says they use light loads and are quite proficient! He has money to burn, BTW! He hog-hunts from a helicopter with an AR, hanging off the side in a harness! It would be fun!
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Thanked: 369Those light loads are known in the sport as "Gamer" loads. I fired a load once that was so light, we thought it was a squib at first. That round probably just cleared the muzzle before dropping to the ground.
