Comcast rip off
Well, just today I find out how comcast do rip off customers. They say it is based per market performance what to me is per market rip off.
So when you will reset your web browser, remove cookies and go to this web page High Speed Internet Service by XFINITY® Internet from Comcast: Make Comcast your Internet Service Provider you could get Blast internet for $72.99 per moth. It will be 50mbit/s in this case. Well offer is changing when you give address of service. In my situation price jumped to $114 !!! I give my address and I got punished. I guess since this is B market regards slary range they do charge more for the same service.

Thanked: 375After a year my bill went from 125 to 250, promotional plan was up (I have INternet, phone and TV). I'd call them, tell them you don't think their services are worth what they are charging you.
If I didn't have kids and a wife that "have to have TV", I'd drop comcast in a heartbeat. It's overpriced, and bad service. I had DirectV for ten years, they were at my house twice in that time.
Comcast I've had for a little over a year, they've been at my house 3-4 times all ready and they take three days to fix anything, if it's even fixed right the first time.CHRIS

The entire entertainment industry is modeled such that everyone involved makes the maximum profit and the end users simply take it in the shorts. It doesn't matter if its music or movies or cable outfits.
I know of no industry that has made such a science of gouging people as the pay T.V industry. With all the packages and equipment charges and add ons they extract the maximum possible from you and keep inventing further ways to go one better.
I know many people get their T.V over the internet for little or nothing but believe me they are figuring out ways to turn that into a cash cow too.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Thanked: 270Most cable companies don't have competition, and that kind of puts them in the driver's seat. Fortunately the city where I live developed a fiber optic cable/internet package and they're giving Cox a run for their money. I'm still paying less than I paid Cox three years ago.
Telephone, I transfered my land line number to a cell phone, and bought Magic Jack Plus for my new land line. The only drawback is that your name isn't in the phone book, but I don't think that's really a problem. The last several years I had an AT&T land line all I was receiving was solicitation calls (even though I am on a do not call list) and keeping the answering machine on 24/7 to avoid them.

Quick update,
During 3 days troubleshooting I lost good service, I gain worst package with $25 price increase and was (not sure even how) put into technical plan for $50 per month. THIS IS REALLY MADNESS!!! How does this company even exist? I think this is new world of HUGE corporations...

They exist very well. Didn't they just buy NBC or some other network.

A few years ago, we decided we had to lower our bills. I told my wife to call Comcast and tell them we were going to a less expensive package. When I got home from work, I asked if she'd dropped the features we talked about and she told me that she added three new premium stations. I aksed her why and how much more it was going to cost us now. It was $20.00 less than we were paying before. When you threaten to leave, they back down.
