    Default Hawks win! 17-0-3

Can the Chicago Blackhawks lose a game in regulation this season?

Doesnt look like it! But i must say i been a hockey fan for many many years, and i must say i dont care for the overtime 4 on 4, hockey is played with 5 players why OT 4 and the shoot-out is totally ridiculous its a team sport not 1 on 1.

Like any ""professional" sport, it is for entertainment, not skill, or teamwork.

I agree with you on these two points. These changes were made during a time when the NHL was trying to elbow its way back into mainstream sports. Hockey has always been more of a niche sport to begin with. But the accepted philosophy was that games needed more scoring and needed to be more exciting to lure in new fans. Tie games were considered to be a turn off for new fans. Consequently they tinkered with the game here and there to stress fast paced offensive minded hockey over defensive. OT 4 on 4 and shoot outs favor the offensively skilled teams. Oh well, I'm not ready to throw the baby out with the bath water but I agree with you. But I do disagree on the teamwork aspect. The teams the excel have it and those that don't excel don't have it. Our current team is a good example. we have four productive lines that contribute every night. Same on on defensive group and goal tending. We have six good d-men that all make valuable contributions and both goaltenders (while not the best in the league) can easily step in for each other at a moments notice. And we've got a great shot blocking team. If that's not teamwork I don't know what is - putting your body in front of slap shot. Its what's kept us rolling thus far. But it can't last forever. I just hope they win when it counts too.
