Shipping Straights to South Korea?
Hey all,
I wasn't sure where to put this but thought this was the best place. Anyways, I have a friend in S Korea and he has been wanting to shave with a straight for a while now and I wanted to help him out. I have a razor that I wanted to send to him but I think there are rules against importing knives and I'm not sure on the rules on straights. Can I just ship him one or do I have to go through customs or something like that? I don't want to lose a razor because I didn't follow the rules, and was hoping someone here could help out and point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance,
D

You or your friend need to find out what the exact rule is for knives. A lot of the time straights get lumped in with knives. Anything you send internationally goes through customs and is subject to inspection.

If he is in the armed forces or in the American community that has access to an APO address this keeps it in the USPS. Not a problem. If it has to go through the ROK postal system I have no idea. Sent a couple of razors about 3 weeks ago to a guy in the Air Force there.

You'll want to look at the customs rules only, not the postal services rules.
Because with many postal services, straights and knives are not allowed as shipped goods.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.
