    Default been away a while

    Hello everyone!
Its been too long and unfortunately it will be even longer....
Have been having issues with my shoulders and elbows (and a broken computer) so I haven't been using my straights or hones, pretty much had only been using my R41. Had been feeling better then was in a car accident....and now it's worse then ever :'( so since I can't shave properly I have decided to grow a beard to complement my handle bar moustache. So I won't shave again until my wife's birthday 11/11! I know it's a weird experiment but I have never given a full beard a chance. Also I have another child (sex unknown) due Sept 26th so funds and time are tight (especially since I'm working two full time jobs now). I hope everyone out there is well and I can't wait to post pics of me shaving again once I am healed and the baby is here!

    best regards
    Adam

Hello all!! I have been doing very well in the last few weeks, was even able to practice stropping I must say that this is killing me to be this hairy, but it is an interesting experiment lol! Unfortunately my wife does not want me to shave just yet and seems to be holding me to my initial date of 11/11/13 (her birthday). In the mean time I have joined a beard and moustache club where I have become the moustache wax reviewer, taken the family camping in the mountains and been asked to become a trainer with a company for defensive pistol and other classes. All in all we are well in the Berkebile home and oh ya....WE ARE HAVING A BOY!!!! Hugo William Louis Berkebile ETA 9/26/13 I truly hope all of you are well out there and I cant wait to shave again!

    Unhappy

Holy crap has it been a long time! Well lets see... Hugo was born 10/4/13 9lbs 5oz 21.5 inches long at our home surrounded by loved ones. My Daughter turned 3 this February. I did not get anything this last Javelina season. I joined and have become an officer of our local beard club and have won the state title for best Dali moustache 2013. I competed in Austin Facial Hair clubs 2014 come shave it 8. I got to see the Alamo. Bought a wicked awesome new hunting pack, Eberlestock J34 just one. I have started shaving again, though I have not been able to hone for near on a year and Really really need a refresher lol, so its just my R41 Grande mostly. I have fallen in love with Castle Forbes soaps...finally. My moustache review site on FB is starting to gain traction and I am recieving new waxes at a fevered pace.... a little overwhelming at times, but so fun. I really miss my straights. I think its time to send several off to be honed again. I still work at the cigar store, but have cut back to 3 cigars a month and I havent smoked my pipes in months. Time is just flying.
