    Default Carl the Handyman

Those of you who know me may know that I constantly mention that I'm no 'handyman'. I often say this when it comes to conversations about honing, so newbies may know that one doesn't have to be good with tools to hone a razor.

Well, today Carl became a (handy)man. I installed a new hot water system (with some help from my brother). I've just had my first hot shower in over a week! Who SAYS you need a qualified plumber and electrician to install them!
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Thanks, I've been heating the kettle in the mornings for a shave. I do like to have an icy cold water shave with water from the fridge, but only when it's stupidly hot. I learnt some things along the way, too :-)

    BTW, how's the ticker?

No one need a licenced electrician or plumber to install hot water systems over here. But then again many people are electrocuted in the shower.

    Good for you Carl!

(And thanks again for the invite to stay with you. Why exactly do you need me to bring "rubber shower boots"?)

Yeah, I'm making sure I'm wearing my rubber boots in the shower, so I'm OK...

[EDIT] I posted that before I read Jimbo's comment. What is they say about great minds?

In Sweden the Insurance companies says no, if they detect that an accident has been caused by, say, a non electrician installation. Happy for you though, you don't get the final step in clean if only using cold water ... Not that I'm saying that you've been a very, very dirty man, no Sir, I wouldn't say that!
