But the reward is nice, sometimes you get the first look of some great deals ;)
Nenad
But then again...sometimes you miss out on them.
You should write to me then! I am usually up by 4:30 a.m. sometimes earlier than that. The only people I get to talk to in the morning are overseas cuz everybody here is asleep....LOL...
You are six hours ahead of me....that'd make it 10:30 your time. Plenty of time left for cup'a joe.
Colleen
And I'm usually up until 3am (9am CET) so there's only a 90min gap between Colleen and myself. The only problem is that partially I still qualify as Eurotrash
Well, I've always been a good girl :w But it is funny to me sometimes that I now get up at the same hour in which I used to come home...LOL
So who else is up at that ungodly hour of the morning (US time) ???
Colleen
Colleen, unfortunately, last call's at 2am in Toronto, so we're home by 3-3:30. Europe's a different story. When I visit my family down there, sometimes I come home at 7am, but usually it's 5:30ish.
Last call is 2 a.m. here as well.....;) chuckle.....
Soapmistress
Then I'm not even going to ask how you used to spend 2am to 4:30am :nj
LOL....I wondered a bit after I wrote that, and thought "Jimminy girl", now whats somebody supposed to say to that....I think you have a political career in front of you....smart answer :tu
In West Virginia, just because the law says you close at two....thats not what really takes place. I didn't know that bars in Europe stayed open so late .....
One morning when we're all up early....we should have coffee together.
Colleen
I don't even have internet access at home .. so I gotta try and browse during working hours ie. Lunch time which has been difficult over the last 6 months as I have been finding myself working then also ... I'm nearly always around in a chat messenger client as Superfly knows .. I owe a big thanks to him cause he keeps me posted if theres anything good happening here - Thanks Nenad :-D
This is the first time in a long time I've had 10mins spare to jump on ..
big hello to all you guys .. I missed being on here big time most of all I misss the threads .. it's horrible noty being up to date ..
Cheers .... Garry
I remember that when I was visiting family in Skopje. It was a bit of a shock to have Macedonia be even stricter than Canada after partying until 5-6-7 in Serbia. The one club that was supposed to be open late was so packed that people were starting fights not out of any animosity, but to get some breathing room.
They'll probably change the laws in Serbia as well, but AFIK they're still able to party all night long down there.
A funny little story to relate since the thread had
turned to alcohol.
There used to be a little carry - out at the mouth
of the hollar where I live. One day this man pulled
in ( I know him ) and his son who was about 6 gets
out of the truck. The little boys walks in and sits
two 6 packs of beer on the counter. The carry out
owner bags them up, and with some effort the
kids lifts the bag to his shoulder and walks out.
He gets in the truck and the truck pulls away.
Only in Logan County WV. I love this place......:roflmao
Terry
I'm sometimes up till midnight which I think is 9:am your time. Looks like we could meet for impromptue morning chats to help make Alex feel included. :D

Serbia as well. I remember being sent out for beer from the age of 6, but the store was too far for a small kid to walk with a burden that heavy, so once I dropped the bag (it's mostly sold in individual 500ml bottles). Got a pretty good beating for it
I'm back at school now, though still keep some pretty late hours. For the time I had off between semesters though, I was mostly nocturnal. My body just isn't set for 24 hours days
Alex,
You could relocate west six or eight time zones.:roflmao
Rick
I decided to stop here first on my morning rounds.....Usually the first thing I do in the morning is to check my emails at TGQ and then end up here last.
Where are you LX.....I even brought coffee :nj (raspberry & chocolate)
Anybody here drink good coffee?
Colleen
Last night I put my alarnclock at 2.30 a.m. to snipe this beauty: http://cgi.ebay.nl:80/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=300069212970
Satisfaction is great of course but I do feel a bit knackered now due to lost sleep. I didn't fall asleep again due to the excitement of winning it (1st ebay purchase ever). Started work 7.45 a.m. today.
My good man, thats what I call dedication! Worth the effort too....it's a Beauty! :tu
Colleen
Ha, I have the same razor, just sharpened it and shaved with it yesterday. Sweet razor...
Nenad
Sorry Colleen. I had a presentation for school today so I didn't have any time on the computer. I'll be online coming morning though ;) I think I'll check out the chat because I never have.
I'm over in Kuwait right now, out in the middle of stinkin' nowhere. Literally. I think I am 2-3 hours ahead of most of you, except those in WV obviously. Which coincidentally, I plan on retiring to in about 7 years. BTW, got so many coffee blends here in the office to choose from, it is just a chore to go through them and see which one I want. Too bad no bars to actually stay out to 1 am here. For that matter, no alcohol period.
I usually drink Yerba Mate (Cruz de Malta, Taragui and Sara brands in that order of use, but I prefer the Sara when I can find it right now even though they're all excellent quality) because it has a nice stimulating effect without the jittery that coffee can give ya. Caffeine is also a no-no when taking Ginseng which I also do from time to time. That's not to say a nice cuppa joe doesn't suit me well. Café Americanos when i'm out but the Validator prefers Blue Mountain (and I agree with her taste) and has picked up some Doi Chaang organic coffee from China.
If we're going to meet in the chat room at 5 or 6 am EDT some day we should definitely plan it and announce it in the Forums as I've dropped in at various times throughout the week and there's NEVER anybody just hanging around.

You're calling me Eurotrash?
Or are you really just admitting to loving the song "ooh she touched my tralala"? ;).
I'm on here off and on through out the night (gmt -5) I see you on but you're always ignoring me. Maybe if I break out into a Eurocentric song and dance you'll see me. ;).
Sweet, a fellow yerba addict ;).
I've been drinking yerba tea since 1996 after a grad student from paraguay got me hooked on it. I import it from argentina. I've got 3 different brands of Yerba tea and 3 different mate gourds. I bet my gourds are sexier than your gourds ;). wanna compare gourds? :p
One thing I've noticed lately is if I let it set too many days I start getting a rancid taste and have to switch the leaves, even if I'm drinking from it every day. You ever have this?
I didn't call anyone eurotrash apart from myself.
And I love good company but don't drink coffee. I'll join everyone with a good cup of Ghana coco though. Lovely stuff. Tastes the way coco should.
Your gourds may be sexier, but I'm pretty sure min is bigger. I have a HUGE gourd I brought back from South America, but I don't use it because it has a veeeeeerrrrry slow leak. I just use a mug. I get even more in that way. I typically drink 3 or 4 cups a day. My FIL introduced me to it about 5 or 6 years ago. I never did have a problem with rotting yerba though. You shouldn't let it sit there. Clean it out as soon as you're done and you should be good.

Good Evening Gents!
All this business about gourds is very interesting ;) as is the topic of tea, coffee and Ghana coco. Maybe we could have a "coffee shop" for us early birds.
Now...back to those gourds..lol. I want all the details! do you really drink tea from a gourd?
Soapmistress
Yup. Have a look..
I've got a nice mate gourd on an aluminum base, a really big mate made from bull horn with alpaca artwork, and a plain mate gourd with aztek artwork.
The tea is generally drank from the gourd by multiple people. Half the gourd is filled with tea and water continually added as needed until the tea taste has virtually completely gone. I usually drink 2 to 3 gourds a day and thought that would keep the tea from going bad but it isn't I've tried putting the gourd in the fridge at night but that doesn't seem to help either. I've taken to using a tea ball in the gourd and just getting 2 cups from the tea ball but I'd like to get back to drinking it the traditional way :(.
Remind me again what a Gourd is. it's like a melon or a cantelope right?
I only drink herbal teas myself. At the moment we have a...uhm...what's Rooibos in Enghlish? anyway. Rooibos with Orange tea that's very nice. I do add some sugar because I have a sweet tooth but if you do just enough it enhances the flavour while not covering it up. Lovely stuff.
I spent a little time looking at the Yerba Mate site this morning. Very Interesting!! My Mom likes to drink tea....I think I will purchase some items for her from the site.
X.....my Mom likes to drink flavored herbal teas on occasion but mostly drinks "Green Tea"....do you have any suggestions for which might be a good choice for her ?
Colleen
She drinks the "Jasmine Green"....and I have a pound of Rooibos red downstairs in the soap shop...lol. I use it sometimes in my Bath soaps and gives a very nice depth of color when dyeing muslin bags, much nicer than dyeing with coffee.
What color is the Rooibos green?
Colleen
green perhaps? I don't know. I've never had it.
uhm.. Green. It also has lighter taste than the red stuff, I like it as well. You should also try that Rooibos you use for coloring :)
too much tea, too little time. I have around 15 different teas in my kitchen, all loose leaf. And I am not enjoying them enough lately...
cheers,
Nenad
