    Default Three Stooges

So I was up early this morning watching The Three Stooges and was wondering what it is about them that, even though I have see the same old jokes and gags they do, they can still make me laugh out loud while sitting by myself. They just never get old, perhaps the best comedy trio there was (even after Curly left)

I like Hoi Polloi episode when curly starts de shaving using the foam, from the cappuccino for lather. And the sound he ,makes when doing the mustache.

They were the product of simpler times when slap stick like that worked and was taken more seriously.

These day even though it may make you laugh most modern folks will say, yea it's funny but it's stupid I don't know why I'm laughing at it.

Curly had around ten specific and unique physical and verbal bits of schtick that were his invention. Try naming another comedian who left behind that kind of humorous legacy. That's why his comedy still does the job and is hard to forget.

The Stooges were as original as it gets, pure comedian geniuses! I own every episode they ever made, I still laugh even though I've seen the same shorts endless times over! A particular good part that fits here is in 'An Ache In Every Stake', where Curly shaves a block of ice with a straight. Classic!

I have been a long time fan of the stooges.

I was once given a birthday card with their images on it. The card suggested that for my birthday I should eat, drink, and beat Larry. Still makes me giggle
