    Default Reunions

I was just wondering,as my 40th High school reunion is coming up this summer,do any of you guys bother with these things? Damn, 40 years,I don't feel that old unless I look in the mirror, but how about you guys? Do any of you go? I haven't missed one yet,and the whole thing reminds me of my own private episode of the Twilight Zone, there that strange, and what about the girls you liked back then,as for me I realize that I've dodged more than a few bullets.......

Went to the 20th, missed the 30th, probably will not go back. Nothing left there for me that I want to re-live.

My 40th is creeping up right around the corner, I haven't missed any of them, 10th, 20th, 30th, all a ton of fun.. Now with Facebook etc: it is easier to keep in touch with people around the world but I still enjoy seeing old friends whatever the excuse we use to do it..

I didn’t go any reunions until the 30th, I really wasn’t interested as I come from a small community and I’d seen so many throughout the years that I couldn’t see the point. (My graduating class was about 65 people)

Of that class of about 65 two died in a car wreck the day after Christmas the year we graduated, five others have passed also including three between the 35th and 40th. And as always there are those who have just disappeared and can’t seem to be found so we don’t know if they are dead or alive!

At the 30th I found that those that were Jerks and A**holes in High School hadn’t changed; the same was true at the 35th! However at the 40th, things had changed as so many of us had lost our parents, siblings, spouses etc that a sense of mortality had set in.

Take the time to go, I’m glad that I started to attend, some of my classmates I hadn’t seen since we graduated in ’71 and it was really a joy to see and speak with them again.

I did the 40th with the SwissMis as we were classmates from the 7th grade through grad school. We thought we aged a lot better than most.

If you are able then by all means attend

High School class of 62. Never attended a school reunion and have no plans to. I have made it to a couple of vietnam military unit reunions and was glad I did.
