Heljestrand M6 in Ivory Pape Micarta
I purchased this razor off of eBay for a fair price. The pictures were a bit shadowed, so I wasn't sure what I'd receive in the mail. The razor came about a week ago and I was pleasantly surprised. The spots turned out to be shadows and flash from the camera. The scales were black Bakelite with a bunch of scratches and a hairline crack at the pivot.
I removed the razor from the scales and hand sanded the blade from 600 grit to 3000 grit. I finished the razor on my buffer with black and white greaseless compound.
The scales are ivory paper micarta, the shape is based on the original MK33 scales. I chose the ivory, to give it an original look. The spacer is Tortoise Shell recon stone (I wanted a dark spacer to offset the light scales, but wanted a bit of a pattern).
Lastly, I set the bevel, honed and finished the razor on a Coticule. It's was my first time using a Coticule, so the first attempt at honing left less than desired results (no burn nor nicks, just not a close BBS). So I went back to the Coticule this morning and just finished my shave. This time the shave was fantastic, close, comfortable and smooth.

Nice job man, Really dig the tortoise shell with the ivory.
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.
