Thanked: 1371W&B Cleanup / Restore
I just finished this one, I still need to hone it.
5/8 W&B restored to original. New brass pins and washers, and I put in new brass thrust washers as well as a pivot sleeve.

Excellent job.
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

Really nice. I like that it still looks its age and restored at the same time. Really well done.

Thanked: 1371I forgot to mention that in my OP... After I polished it to mirror, I gave it a heavy coat of Birchwood Casey Perma-Blue and then after it dried, buffed again with white rouge. This left a very mild darkening of the steel, much like a light age patina. The darkening is so mild that you barely notice it. Too dark and it looks done on purpose.
