Blake's razor
This razor came about from something Luis said in this post about a toy straight razor for his son Blake.
#185
I had a frowning rusty 9/16 Geneva Pyramid that was not really worth saving so I took it down to 2.5" & totally breadknifed it . Ground off most of the rust, smoothed every edge, rounded every point & made sure there were no burrs or anything spiky protruding & then pinned it up to some spare Genco scales I had. It is so not shaveready I tested it by trying to cut my wrist.. No bleeding, no pain but it still felt freeky.
You can see a size comparison with a regular size 5/8 Pyramid in the pics below.
I think the monkey tail is the most dangerous part of the razor now but as safe & blunt as it is, I trust Luis will keep it out of reach & only allow Blake to use it under his strict supervision.
It is not so much a toy razor but a training aid & may even be too large for Blake's hands atm but he can grow into it.“The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.”
