    Default Duck under glass !

Okay this one I am REAL happy with and I am even more obsessed with doing scales like this. And it shaves like a DUCK. It came out of my rotation and went right back in !

    Before.
Not much to see but pits in the scales and the darn thing wouldn't even close. I pondered this for a long time and thought "Glen has taught me enough about razors with his tips and tricks on doing things that they should get me through this."

Let me stress to the beginner buyers on e-Bay that these pics don't look so bad. Ask questions !

The color of the acrylic is called glass. I made a couple of mistake with this 1 but being my first I will not beat myself up. The wedge area is not perfect. I went and looked at all my other ducks and this seems to be par for the course but still, if I was doing this for someone else I would have had to make a new set. Ha ha this was already the second set. I used the first set as a pattern and guess what ? They came out too short " DOH !!" My pinning was not perfected yet and when I put the spaer in I made the pin too short. I had to pry the darn thing out because I did not want to file the scales and scratched the inside with a screw driver. How do you sand and polish those scratches out ? By hand and it takes about as much time as it would to just re-pin the whole thing again. I do have a neat trick for putting polishing compound on a swede stick if anybody ever needs it :<0) I have 3 other ducks to do this to so a tutorial may be in the making. The hard part is picking the color. I don't think this is a bad thing to do to a Duck. I never have to worry about rot and the old colors are kind of boring. I am sure Bresnick and Pearl won't mind as it seems they liked variety and shiny razors.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
