Thanked: 203J.Dirlam and Sons
Hi All,
restored a J.Dirlam and Sons razor with fancy scales. Embossed with an Eagle and stars and stripes.
Some patina left, but edge is clean and true. Kept original with the exception of new brass pins when reassembling.
Honed on Naniwa SS 440, 1K, 5K, 10K and 12K.
Matched up with a paddle strop made with a Merbau body, balsa on one side pasted with CrOx and leather on the other hand sanded down to 2K and treated with neatsfoot oil for a light draw.
Butterscotch acrylic brush handle and knot from TGN, just adjusted seating depth and assembled.
Regards,
