What did you use to polish the blade?

I handsanded form 180 grit to 2500 rolled over a wine cork. I followed the handsanding tutorial from this forum (http://straightrazorpalace.com/works...ing-howto.html).

After a heavy duty turtle wax rubbing compound and finally some blue magic.

Beautiful first restore! Turned out nicely for your first. Time to buy some more and add to your collection! You have the hang of it. I use erasers that can be purchased at most office stores instead of a cork. You will find all shapes and sizes of erasers. I have many different profiles of them. Also I have found "Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish" to add the final shine works well. You can find it at most automotive parts stores. Enjoy your razor Monsieur !!
