    Excellent job! Learning with the basics is the best way to make full use of better tools down the line. Congrats.
    Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

    Beautiful job!! Nicely done sir!! I do enjoy working with files myself. How wide was the file before you started? Looks to be a nice thick one! I learned my lesson the hard way by trying to use a thin file! Had a lot of trouble with the thin one.. Again awesome work!! Thanks for sharing.

    Really beautiful work! The subtle use of top jimps is really impressive... Did you file those in or were they original lines you left during the finish?

    The file was over an inch and a quarter, it's quite a big one, still got the other half to use and the jimps are original to the file, I wanted to keep more but lost them during profile grinding, I think next time I will forge the smile of the razor rather than grind it so I can keep more jimps. I like the look of them.
