Thanked: 6342 Double Ducks Reborn
Just picked up these 2 Double Ducks. A "Dwarf" and "Specian No. 1". They were in bad shape. Took them apart. Cleaned and polished the blades; sanded and polished the scales for the Special No. 1. Put the Special back together with new pins. The Dwarf scales were no good so I made new ones out of "Lace Wood" with a purple heart wedge at the front. Here are some pictures.

Thanked: 634Just took the duck with the lacewood scales for a swim. Man she is great. I now see what people are talking about when they praise their ducks.

Thanked: 634Actually I got the both of them on the Bay. A total of $40 for the both. Just needed a good cleanup and new scales on the one and both needed a good hone. Keep trying and you will get one some day. Don't give up. They are worth it.

Thanked: 1184I don't know about those Ducks .... I have a few of them and can't decide which one is best. Guess that's why I always think I need more.
Nice grab off the bay. They do come up when it seems nobody is watching. That's when you want to shoot.Last edited by 10Pups; 09-14-2013 at 09:02 PM. Reason: added some
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
