    Smile 2 Double Ducks Reborn

Just picked up these 2 Double Ducks. A "Dwarf" and "Specian No. 1". They were in bad shape. Took them apart. Cleaned and polished the blades; sanded and polished the scales for the Special No. 1. Put the Special back together with new pins. The Dwarf scales were no good so I made new ones out of "Lace Wood" with a purple heart wedge at the front. Here are some pictures.

Just took the duck with the lacewood scales for a swim. Man she is great. I now see what people are talking about when they praise their ducks.

Actually I got the both of them on the Bay. A total of $40 for the both. Just needed a good cleanup and new scales on the one and both needed a good hone. Keep trying and you will get one some day. Don't give up. They are worth it.

I don't know about those Ducks .... I have a few of them and can't decide which one is best. Guess that's why I always think I need more.

Nice grab off the bay. They do come up when it seems nobody is watching. That's when you want to shoot.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
