Someone else suggested that a coating of varnish would help to prevent verdigris - to be honest I didn't consider that because the liners are accessible therefore a cotton bud with cleaning agent should be OK. The problem area as with any scales is likely to be round the pivot pin so some floss with the same cleaning stuff should be OK.
By the way, all of my razors are kept in a cabinet away from moisture - although this is no guarantee aganst corrosion, I don't have any problems so far.

The use of floss comment to clean the pivot area is just another reason I love these SRP forums, the little comments and ideas that surface are endless
I looked at copper for wedge liners but stuck with brass because of this reason so the varnish also might be a good cover

Same here, great clean look plus like the "red" black contrast, as for sealing the copper, I think it'd be a good idea?
