    I would say you got the hang of it for sure. That is a bad a$$ looking blade.

    Looks nice, hows the 440c hold an edge? Didn't know it would get hard enough to hold up, but then again I don't know much about steels other than O-1 & 1095

    In the long term, honestly, I don't know. It's always held and excellent edge for my knives (I know a big difference) but I have a couple now that I've done and they've gotten through multiple shaves and still cut like a dream, I haven't noticed any difference between them and the 01 as far as longevity... only time will tell I suppose. It does give a very nice smooth shave though, and that's just off of a norton 8k...
