Default With all the awesome custom work here, my first project pales in comparison.

This is a first attempt at everything related to restorations and modifications.

My first razor dis-assembly, scale fabrication, and re-pin.

This wade and butcher has so much ware that the edge is now encroaching the blade etching. The original scales had a crack at the hinge pin area. So I made myself a narrow shaver that is light, quick, and nimble. I put a nice hair popping edge on it. The first shave is the next order of business for this (4/8" toothpick shaver).

I like it for a first full resto with custom scales
Nothing like learning it all at once hey
Great save of a blade that may have otherwise been left to rot somewhere I like the 4/8" blades for bread edging
    Saved,
    to shave another day.

I think you did well and you should be proud. What many don't realize is that making scales for smaller width razors is much more difficult as opposed to making scales for larger razors. Good job.

Thanks for all the kind words. I learned much with this first attempt. Im learning much more as I have 2 projects in the works too. Making the wedge for this was daunting since I wanted this wedge to be narrower than the original. My reason for the narrower wedge was to have the razor rest higher in the scales and allow the barbers notch to show proud. This way I can use it as it was intended by hooking it on my shirt pocket for one handed operation (I jest).

I really like the shape of the new scales, they are very svelte! Good job!
