Default 8/8 in mirror finished O1.

This piece was part of a charity auction, that I participated in, for Brest Cancer. It was designed to pay homage to the old Wade and Butcher FBU blades, that so many people enjoy. It isn't a perfect copy, I took some liberty's in the build.

I won't get into the specifics, but the winner chose how it was to be finished.

Blade is O1 @ HRC 60, mirror finish. Jimping, top and bottom.

Streaked horn, stainless triple stacks, N/S pins, and there are pivot washers installed. I used a piece of pink rhodonite to tie it to Brest Cancer Week.

The first pics, is what he had to work with...

Nice job and for a good cause!

Nice touch with the pink spacer, all pink scales would have been over the top.

Beautiful razor, great lines. I like all of the details from the washers to the scales. Those jimps on top really catch my eye.

Beautiful work and great looking razor, but my eyes are so drawn to the block of wood your razor is sitting on, must be the carpenter in me I'm always drawn to a lovely piece of wood, strangely enough a nice set of legs in a pair of heels as a similar effect.

I do hope you don't put those to your lathe?

Very nice classic style razor but a little modern as well. Fantastic work!

May I ask you what kind of grinding steps, materials and polish have you used?
