Default New scales for my ugly duckling (W&B w/ barber's notch)

Finally finished my first set of scales in maple. All totally made by hand. These are housing my old W&B near wedge w/ barbers notch that was the topic of a whole other thread already.

I have to call a foul here . Where is the duck ? Nice set of scales by the way. Ummm not finished though. They will look 10 times better with pins in them. 2 points for the wedge. I thought it was wedge-less at first.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

I think your scales look very nice!

I would presume that the photo is a mock up. Will you be pinning the razor or using micro fasteners?

Personally I like the traditional pinning. The advantage of the fasteners is that they can be easily tightened and or removed if need be!

It's your project so proceed as you wish!

    Again, Nice Work!

I plan to pin them eventually. I don't have any brass rod right now. I'll get my hands on some eventually and try my hand at pinning.

@10pups: I knew someone would say that, so I tried to clarify in the title. Ugly duckling is a reference to my earlier thread where I talked about honing this little devil. It has some serious hone wear issues.

Also, please forgive the use of the shellac can as a stand I haven't purchased an anvil yet.
