Default Restored 7/8 "P (HEART) Ford"...Origina lhorn scales:

Here is a real nice example of a "P (HEART) Ford"... 7/8 with restored original horn scales. The blade is finished with a 'Two-Tone' finish: the face was done with a 'Satin' texture and the shank and spine were finished to a highly polished mirror shine. I really like the look of this razor finished this way.

The trademark or maker's mark...is uncommon but not unique. Although you don't find many of these razors out in the wild ( ) there are examples to be found. The manufacturer is "Jonathan Pitchford":

"The mark ...is from the 1787 directory of Sheffield. Stumperley...is/was a small town in Upper Hallam about 2 or 3 miles SW of Sheffield. At that time it was probably a home/farm address - many of the 'little meister' razor makers worked from their homes and even had a small furnace in the yard - rather than a 'works' or factory proper."

Here are some pics of the razor. I haven't honed and shaved with it yet, but will shortly. There is a small chip in the blade near the heel as you will see, that needs to be honed out, but although the photo makes it look rather large, it is only about .5mm or 1/64th of an inch. An easy fix...
