Elliot in Ivory
This was partially inspired by the Electric Razor I restored recently as well as the Japanese frameback I just restored and posted. Here is the Elliot I spoke of in reference where I just cleaned up the blade and then made up the scales for it in Ivory. I happened to have some extra stock after duplicating scales for my Drew 7 day boxed set.
The wedge is black horn with brass liners.
Hope you enjoy.

Oh I've still been building razors . About 50 over the past few months but I've been crazy busy with work. The job I'm currently doing is just insane!
So I had to take a bit of time and do something for myself.
And just tonight I picked up another 60 razors for my collection. Meaning,,,, more work to do.

This is the Electric razor that I had to repair cracks and replace missing pieces that inspired this ivory piece.

Thanks and yes it did eat up some time as it was my first attempt at carving Ivory. Now that I have this under my belt I'll get faster knowing how it responds and it opens up so many other avenues. I've also been working on some Skrimshaw, and I think other versions of carved scales as well as carved inserts for other scales might prove interesting. Then I won't have to depend on plastic which doesn't respond well in scales such as these that I built.
