I bought this big 10/8" GB a few weeks ago for €7,50. It had a big chip in the edge and the scales were shot. Otherwise normal rust/patina, so I set to work to repair the edge, buff out some of the rust and make new scales out of (what I think is) rosewood that I got from a friend. Bone wedge, SS washers, NiAg pins.

After about 5 tries, I still cannot get an edge on this razor (see http://straightrazorpalace.com/honin...hor-razor.html). I'm getting close, but it doesn't shave, yet...
