    Default Customised Jarratt & Rainsford

This one is a 5/8" razor marked "Made in Sheffield for Jarrett & Rainsford Ltd".
It is jimped on the bottom of the tang only.
Re-scaled with black buffalo horn with nice feathering. Had a lot of issues with horn warp lately and left these scales a little thicker. Wedge of same horn with red vulcanised liners added for a little colour. Brass pins and washers inside and fancy brass washers outside.
Honing progression; Naniwa Superstones 1K, 5K, 10K, 12K. Chromium Oxide on Balsa. Horsehide Strop x 100 passes.
No access to my light box or camera at present so please excuse phone photos.

All nice work, but why not use wedges instead of spacers

In this case the wedge was the only way I could get around the issue of some very warped horn. Whenever I straightened it, it would soon warp again. The usual flex from a wedge exacerbated the issue. it is a wedge, but with very little taper to it. All my other razors have more wedgy wedges.

BTW I like bold and hafty scales.
    Nice job.
