Thanked: 203Customised Boero
Last one finished up today. Still have a bunch of other people's razors to hone.
This one is a shade under 6/8", but not quite 5/8". I suspect it started out 6/8" and has seen a lot of use. Started out very cruddy in dirty and chipped plastic scales.
Blade tang is marked "Solingen 39" on one side and "Boero Trade Mark" on the other. Jimped top and bottom.
Etching in the blade hollow reads "Acciaio Martellato Garantito 10 Anni" .
Re-scaled in translucent honey horn with some nice streaks. Wedge is aluminium. Brass pins and washers inside and out.
My usual Honing progression; Naniwa Superstones 1K, 5K, 10K, 12K. Chromium Oxide on Balsa. Horsehide Strop x 100 passes, worked just fine. I do have other strings to my bow, but this is my go to, and if it works I leave it be.
No access to my light box or camera at present so please excuse phone photos.

Thanked: 1184That came out real nice. Bet it shaves as good as it looks.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
