Grandson's First Straight Razor/Christmas Present
As a Firm Believer in that the sooner a person is introduced to something the better the chances are that they will keep at it I"m giving my youngest grandson a straight razor for Christmas!
I modified it to help insure that there wasn’t any chance of him getting ‘Bit’ I also polished up the blade a bit!
After Christmas I hope to post a picture of the two of us shaving/well at least with lather on our faces and the razors in place!!!
Perhaps he will become the Youngest Member of SRP Yet!!
I must give Luis credit for getting me thinking about doing this!
Enjoy!!

Thanks, I have to admit without Oz (razor) and Bill (brush) I would not have been able to do it. The credit should got our shaving community. I follow your threads and I must say you are a very classy dude. I take your kind words as a big honor.

The Kind Words came very easily!
I know that my Mate OZ did the work on your razor I didn't know about 'Bill' and the brush!
I am hopeful that my Grandson will enjoy his first straight razor!!
Luis;
I thank you for your very kind words about me being a 'very classy dude' I do try to be of help especially with those that are new!! However I prefer to call myself just a Simple Redneck Country Boy!!!
It's late on the East Coast! I hope you are settling down for a good nights sleep!Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

Gm Roy
You have seen the razor Oz made my son. Here is a picture of the brush Bill did for Blake. He loves his razor and brush.

Very nice! I'm sad that my grandad didn't think I would be interested when I started shaving at 14. Either that or he thought me and a straight together at that age was bad news
Sad thing is is that my dad doesn't use them. He uses a DE but not the straights, try to convince him though I have.
I hope you grandson enjoys the straight and keeps it up.
